Volunteer
Bring your hands, head and heart.
Spend a season at a working regenerative village. Learn by doing. Teach what you know. Become a friend of the place.
Who can volunteer
There’s room for many kinds of help.
Students & interns
Final-year placements and gap-year stays. We’ll write you a reference too.
Professionals
Builders, agronomists, teachers, ICT folks, comms people — your skills go straight to use.
Retirees & sabbaticals
Slow time, mentorship, and a project that respects experience.
Researchers
Regenerative agriculture, water systems, education and rural development.
What you’ll do
A typical day at Dream Village.
- ●Farm with the team — planting, composting, harvesting, mulching.
- ●Teach what you know — ICT, English, trades, photography, music.
- ●Build with us — eco-huts, Nubian Vaults, gardens, fences.
- ●Help our comms — writing, photography, social media, website edits.
What we expect
The honest version.
We are a real village — not a tourist programme. Days are warm, work is physical, the kettle is on, and the kindness flows both ways.
- ●Minimum stay: 2 weeks. The longer you stay, the more you give and receive.
- ●Modest contribution toward food and lodging covers your costs and a little of ours.
- ●Working English is enough. We’ll teach you greetings in Konkomba and Twi.
- ●Travel insurance and routine vaccinations are your responsibility.
Volunteers we’ve been lucky to host

- ✶Thomas Dietrich co-built the first Nubian Vault classroom.
- ✶Volunteers from New Life Church Rotterdam helped fund and steward the first borehole.
- ✶Hong Kong, USA, Canada and Dutch interns have rotated through over the years.
